Replacement fans for Fantech

Sigrist manufactures like-for-like replacements for Fantech fans. We are an Australian fan manufacturer in Richlands, Brisbane, and we have been building replacements for other manufacturers’ units for more than 35 years. Send us what is on the rating plate and we will quote the equivalent we make.

What we need from you

One photo of the rating plate is usually enough. If the plate is missing, painted over or unreadable, a photo of the fan and the opening it sits in will get us most of the way.

  • The model number and any other codes on the plate
  • Motor rating in kW, speed, phase and voltage
  • Diameter, and the size of the opening or upstand it mounts on
  • Whether it is exhaust or supply, and whether it is smoke-spill rated

Start here — pick the picture that looks like your fan, or call 07 3271 4415 and read us the plate.

What we would replace it with

Fantech makes axial and centrifugal fans across commercial and industrial ventilation. Depending on the duty and the physical fit, the equivalent normally comes from one of these Sigrist ranges:

Fantech ranges we build replacements for

If the plate carries one of these, we make an equivalent. This is not an exhaustive list, and it does not matter if yours is not on it — send the plate and we will identify it.

  • Roof mounted: Gamma series and Gamma Ultra, Alpha supply and Alpha relief, Heritage EcoTronic, RDS and BFC, ECE, GE
  • Centrifugal: SWSI and DWDI, Sigma series
  • Axial: AP and APV adjustable pitch, and the tube axial families. This includes car park ventilation — car park supply and exhaust is normally a ducted axial duty, and it is work we build for today
  • Duct mounted and inline: PCD, TCD, TWCD, WCD, TILD, FLD
  • Seat series and the wall, window and ceiling ranges
  • Filtered supply: FSU
  • Attenuators: CC series circular

Sizes across these families run from roughly 190mm to 2000mm. Our own ranges cover the same span.

Jet fans — coming soon. Fantech’s JetVent, JVW, JVWD and JISU jet fans are not something Sigrist manufactures today. A jet fan range is in development. If your car park is ventilated by ducted axial fans rather than jet fans, that is work we do now.

A code match is a starting point, not a specification

Fans are replaced on duty and physical fit, not on the code alone. The same code can cover different blade counts, pitch angles, motor ratings and speeds. We use the code to find the family, then confirm the selection against the duty before quoting.

Made here, supplied Australia-wide

Fans are built to order at Richlands and supplied across Australia. Sigrist is a manufacturer, not a service agent: we do not attend site. If you need someone to remove the old unit and fit the new one, that is work for your mechanical services contractor, and we are happy to supply them directly.

Sigrist is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or a distributor for Fantech. Fantech and its model designations are the property of their owner and are referred to here only to identify the equipment being replaced.
